The Devix Project Manager is responsible for the on time delivery of numerous simultaneous projects and managing all details of the projects. He works closely with the Sales, Marketing, and Account Development teams (CAs) and all internal delivery teams to manage new client e-commerce projects from presales through to store launch. In this role, the Project Manager is responsible for working with internal and external delivery teams such as Development, Site Design, Quality Assurance, and others to establish the scope, budget, and timeline of the project and manage to them throughout the implementation. The profile of clients’ implimentations the Project Manager will manage is typically complex in nature with most requiring some customizations or unique requirements. These responsibilities will evolve and change as needed.
You will be responsible for:
Quickly understand status of present clients and rapidly develop plans for implementation utilizing available resources
Create system that allows all participants to rapidly understand the status of a project
Coordinate with managers to ensure a coherent strategy and advanced resource planning
Communicate with all stake holders to ensure a common understanding of goals, CSFs and metrics
Work with internal and external clients to define project requirements and realistic delivery times
Produce a detailed project plans and manage to it throughout project lifecycle using sound judgement which allows for varie3d skill and experience levels of all resources including the client
Assist the sales team in acquiring clients by providing insight on slotting (open delivery dates) and customized delivery estimates
Manage the project budget and specifications to ensure project goals are met on time and on budget while satisfying client expectations
Manage all assigned projects simultaneously, with accountability to ensure proper prioritization of work and resources to maximize the probabilities that all project timelines are met as committed
Identify assumptions and constraints (technical, schedule, resource, and budget) for all projects
Manage risks and issues effectively by resolving or escalating to the appropriate individuals
Monitor project progress and report performance against plan to review client deliverables to corporate communication team for client updates
Facilitate internal and client project meetings and provide meeting minutes.
Manage external vendors and third party vendors to obtain needed API’s and other documentation to help our technical team integrate
Ensure proper documentation of all client information and documentation
Develop and spread throughout the organization a thorough understanding of technical aspects of successful project implementation
Engage as needed in long term consulting with clients on a variety of business needs
Qualifications
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
Proven ability to get results in a complex, often ambiguous environment
Proven business requirements gathering skills
Good verbal and written communication, relationship building and interpersonal skills
Good organizational skills
Strong technical aptitude
Ability to explain technical concepts to all audiences within all levels of an organization
Strong team contribution and interaction; positive team member
Strong planning and project management skills
Excellent follow-up skills
Knowledge of project life cycles and methodologies
B.A. or B.S. in business or related field or equivalent experience
3-5 years direct experience as a Project Manager on E-Commerce or internet/IT related projects
